What is a research & IRB review portal?
A research and IRB review portal is where investigators submit study protocols with their consent forms and documents attached, and the IRB chair approves or rejects each one with the reason on the record. It follows the Requests pattern: someone submits, someone decides, it moves through statuses. Pory generates it from a plain-English description, with a login for each role (investigator, IRB chair and board member) that shows only what that role should see, and flat pricing with unlimited investigators.
What it does
Investigators submit the protocol and consent forms as one package
Submissions used to be an email with six attachments, and the IRB office replied asking for the seventh. In Pory an investigator titles the study, attaches the protocol, consent forms and survey instruments to the submission itself, picks a review type and writes a summary. They can see where each of their protocols stands without phoning the office.

Decision letters used to be drafted in Word, emailed as PDFs and filed in a folder only the coordinator could find. The chair opens a protocol, reviews the attached documents and the board's notes, and approves or rejects it, writing the reason on the protocol. Investigators read the decision on their own submission instead of waiting for a letter.

A portal runs a program, a service, or a process. These jobs belong to tools built for them, and Pory keeps the records around them instead.
Take payments
Pory tracks who owes what and who has paid. It doesn't collect the money — keep your payment tool for that.
Book time slots
Availability, capacity, time zones, and reschedules are a whole product. Pory holds what happens after the booking.
Host the conversation
No feeds, threads, likes, or polls. A note on a record, yes; a forum, no. Where members talk is another tool's job.
