Pory gives every student and tutor a sign-in of their own. Each student sees only their own sessions. It covers sessions, assignments and progress. Sessions, assignments, practice tests, resources, students and tutors live in Pory's own database, so there's no spreadsheet to keep in sync.
What it does
A tutoring week used to be a chain of texts: is Thursday still on, was it four or four-thirty? In Pory the tutor adds each session with the student, subject and time, and it lands on a calendar marked scheduled, done or canceled. Students stop scrolling back through messages to find out when chemistry is.
Homework assigned at the end of a lesson tended to survive as a scribble in the back of a notebook. In Pory the tutor adds each assignment to the session it came from, and the student checks items off their own list as they go. The next lesson opens with what's done, not "so, did you get to it?"
