Pory gives every student and teacher a sign-in of their own. Each student sees only their own lessons. It covers lessons, recitals and practice logs. Lessons, practice logs, practice targets, exams and recitals, fees, shared music and crescendo staff live in Pory's own database, so there's no spreadsheet to keep in sync.
What it does
Lesson times lived on a whiteboard by the front desk and in each teacher's planner, and they rarely agreed after a reschedule. In Pory every lesson sits on a calendar with the student, teacher, discipline and time, marked scheduled, taught or canceled. Teachers stop calling the office to ask whether their 4:30 piano is still on.
Practice records were a paper notebook that came back crumpled, blank, or filled in on the bus that morning. In Pory a student logs the piece, the date, the minutes and a line on what went well, and sees their own log as a list. Teachers start the lesson knowing whether the scales actually happened.
